We're done! We're done!

We are DONE! 1200 acres of sugar beets out of the ground. Two toppers, two diggers, trucks, semi's & a pull tractor got it all done!! This is the last Field to dig, Matt was still pulling tractors today. Now we are going to go dig for the neighbors...the fun doesn't end yet!

What Matt spent most of his time doing this year...pulling trucks.

Paul wanted everyone to see what he did...we all know better. He is limping so bad, the poor guy, he goes in for surgery tomorrow on his knee.

Birthday & Volleyball

Addie had her last volleyball game today in Ketchum. She did really good-all her serves went over the net! They won their game. She has improved this season and loves to play. She loves to roll her ball on the roof of the house and bump it when it drops. (Sometimes she can talk her brothers into bumping it with her.)

Yes I am another year older...I love that my sisters came to make it a special day for me. They got up early on Sunday to make me breakfast (I had to go to a meeting before church so it was extra early) then after church they made dinner & fruit pizza-Yummmy! Then later Paul, Becky, Brittney, Stetzen, Logan, Heather, & Boys came over for more cake and Ice cream. President Telford, Shannon, & Cody dropped by too. I loved it all. Thanks so much for the great day everyone!

A quick up date!

Homecoming...Addie is now a part of the BIG homecoming parade in Dietrich! Her class took 3rd place for their float. Viv went to California and I got Kelton and Kasia for a few days.

Ryan is digging beets. Every day he comes home and tells me he had the best day yet...yesterday they broke a record he said, 240 loads with 2 diggers! (we are right next to the dump)

Aleigha is Potty trained!!!!!! This is such an all consuming project, adventure, trial...I did want to give up the 2nd or 3rd day but after that it went pretty smooth. She is almost out of potty treats, I can't wait! (Kasia loved them, they are out at her house!)

179th Semi Annual General Conference

I love General conference. I love hearing what the Prophet and Apostles have to say. It always makes me want to live a little better, be kinder, & do more for others. I loved the Saturday morning session so much for some reason. Maybe because there were 5 new temples announced or maybe it was what I needed to hear. I loved the talk to Aim higher! It inspired me about what I should do with Porter's arrow from his arrow of light. Elder Bendar's talk to show & express love, say it, mean it, & do it. Bare testimony and live it. Be consistent, was inspiring.
I think as the time for our Saviors return draws nearer we will all be tested more and more, it is the small and simple basic things we have to do. We are raising the rising generation...those strong spirits! I hope that one day I will hear the words "Well done thy good and faithful servant" there is no greater joy then that, doing what the Lord wants me to do. I know that my Savior lives and loves me and you. I know he is there, waiting for us to ask for his help. He LOVES US. Let us all be better and do a little more.

camping @ Pomerelle

We started this last year going camping over night up to Pomerelle. Last year we just found a camp ground to stay at, this year we stayed at the Gillette cabin...CABIN very rustic! We eat, talk, play a few games, go in rides, skip rocks, swing... the bunny hill was a hit. The kids loved running down with someone picking them up & bringing them back up.

Becky got Logan with the cool whip...that started when we were in California a few years ago. (with no running water we couldn't get very messy!) All the cousins are buddies and loved to hang out with each other, I am grateful to Paul & Becky for all they do to keep us together. Thank you.

Kitchen Harvest 2009

Our kind of harvest in the kitchen. Everyone helps! Aleigha squishing the peaches for jam.

Raygn bottled, he was so excited to do this.

Porter sliced & peeled, Addie washes all the jars & helped slice and peel.

I don't like to can without my kids, -there is so much work & they are good help. It is getting harder every year to wait for them to come home because they are involved in things so they don't always come home after school. I did half of my peaches without them one day and two days later they helped me finish...THANK YOU KIDS, I LOVE YOU!

Kids

Ryan was baling & Aleigha & I took him some muffins for breakfast. It was so cute she held them out for him until we got in the tractor! We sure love our hard working daddy!

Logan & Heather went to the temple & I got to have Case & Carter come play. They are so good to Aleigha, she loves them. Whenever Carter sees me he asks, "where's Eigha"? It is so cute. I really didn't want Aleigha dirty but I didn't want to tell her she couldn't play with the boys either...so her white Capri's got dirty!

Flags for 9-11

On my way home from Twin they had all these flags set up to remember 9-11 and all those who died. I loved it. I love our country, and hope that we can always be a free country. I am so THANKFUL to all who served or are serving our great country. One of my favorite parts in the Book of Mormon is about Captain Moroni-what an amazing man he was and how he fought in memory of our God, our religion, and freedom, and our peace, our wives and our children. He tried to stop the fighting but the lamanites were so wicked & blood thirsty they wouldn't stop.
>Yea, verily, verily I say unto you, if all men had been, and were, and ever would be, like unto Moroni, behold, the very powers of hell would have been shaken forever; yea, the devil would never have power over the hearts of the children of men. >Alma 48:17

Labor day weekend

We went to B...this one place I can't spell! It was a lot of fun. There is this rock that we all love to jump off of into the FREEZING water. Ryan, Porter, Raygn, & I all went this year Addie remembered how cold it was from the last time we went there! We brought our bikes and have lots of fun memories from them. Porter's was the favorite it had foot pegs, so we could give rides!

Sunday we went to "church" it was awesome! The man that came to ask if we wanted to go said, "we are going to do some banjo singing & bible readin...of course I wanted in on that! People were requesting songs and this is an exact request. "Can you play some Johnny Cash?" the banjo player-, "No this is church." requester-"Well Johnny Cash went to church." It was so funny. ( no he didn't play the Johnny Cash song) We clapped after every song too. Then we borrowed their tubes and floated the FREEZING river. We went on a short 4-wheeler ride, Aleigha & I went through the water & Viv tried to get us wet!

There is an amazing hot tub/bathtub/pool that we had to go in everyday. The best time is right in the morning when it is still clean! After all the campers come in it is pretty cloudy, but feels so good still! Camping is always fun, the food really good, & the company is great! We saw some friends from Gooding there, the Steels, they had kids that our kids loved! Raygn was over there as much as he was at our camp.
