Porter in the tractor

This post is NOT for GRANDMA BECKY!!

When you grow up on a farm you learn to do things at a young age, like drive a tractor, car/pick-up, 4-wheelers etc. Porter is in charge of feeding the steers we have, and they needed more hay, so Ryan told him to go get the loader and get them a bale of hay. (yes is does make me a little nervous seeing him in that big tractor)

He is such a good boy. He works so hard and has a good attitude -o.k. he sometimes grumbles abt. doing it- but then comes back much better! We love you Porter!

Chritsine

Our neighbor Christine got married!! She was our babysitter...pretty much our only one. She is so cute, we sure love her and are so happy for her. Ryan & I went to the wedding in Salt Lake, (we thought that was at 9:00 so be there at 8:30- no the wedding was at 9:40 and we were suppose to be there at 9:00.) We just got to walk around temple square and hang out with each other for a while. CHRISTINE WE LOVE YOU!! Dolly made her cake, she has been making cakes for all the couples in Dietrich.

Addie's Birthday!!

My Addie is 12! Can you believe it? She is such a good daughter, sister, friend, cousin, niece ...babysitter, cleaner, musician, student...I could go on! We love her and hope all the best for her. She gets to go to young women's now and SHAVE! I so remember my 12 b-day and getting to shave ( or should I say mutilate my let?!) It started with breakfast cake-which Raygn informed me was not good to eat cake for breakfast-MOM, then I made two pans of lemon bars (her favorite) for her class at school, then I came home and made her cake (lemon with lemon frosting) and the dinner she requested. I was a little busy cooking but it was all for my dear Addie!

Picking rock

The boys out picking with the other rock pickers!

This is what Porter and Raygn got to do instead of going to the Easter egg hunt in Dietrich. I had a bapitsm to go to and then went running with Dolly. Addie got to stay and tend Aleigha and clean bathrooms...she was really excited about that! (it did get her out of picking rock, so I thought that was nice of me) I love that my kids get to work and help out, what good kids they are!

Aleigha's ouch

She was out playing in the sandbox with Kelton (cousin) and I heard her cry, so I went out to see why. I thought she was crying because Kelton came in without her, nope she had fallen off the top platform of the slide and did a face plant...is what I am guessing (& Kelton said that she fell.) She had rocks, sticks, & dirt on her face. She wasn't even crying very hard, she is tough!

4-H pigs

Porter thought that he would let them play with his basketball!

The kids had weigh in today. These pigs look so good...along with all their brothers and sisters. We got them from a family in Richfield, the little boy (abt. 14 or so) chooses the semen and takes care of the pigs. The last two years his pigs have won grand champion. The one year one of his pigs that he sold won...we are not expecting this, just a good time at the fair!

Baby blanket

Our banker had a baby and I decided that I wanted to make her baby a blanket. Most of you know I love this pattern, (this is my 6th one) and it's easy, but time consuming. I love picking out the fabrics and placing them on the grid-I draw on the top with pencil! So this is what I did the other day. Kris her it is! I am going to try a new pattern that has flowers on the top kind of the same idea as the squares, but it is only a girl blanket...pretty sure the little boys wouldn't care but dad might!
