Ryan is doing well, he has been up walking a few times this morning. His incesion is swollen and he said they had to change it three different times during the night. He feels pretty good...he is hooked to a pain medicine pump so he should right?!! Just sleeping, walking a little bit, and healing.
He shares a room with Jesse (from maricius,) it is a little bit different from home where at least u have a curtain to divide the room! His wife & daughter & I have been hanging out quite a bit.
The night before surgery they had Ryan come to the hospital to meet with the surgeon one last time and ask any questions he had. Then they gave him a sleeping pill so he would be rested for surgery!! (I thought that was funny...only because they don't do that in the USA) then when he came in the morning of surgery they gave him another sleeping pill so he would be tired for the surgery:)...again very different-maybe not Cindy do they?! Then the epidural and surgery with a pump after for three days. We talked to a guy that had surgery last week & he said when the medicine is done there is quite a bit of pain. So that is Monday or Tuesday. I will keep everyone posted!

That's nice to have a roommate for you but probably not for Ryan:) I am glad things are going good we will be praying extra on Monday and Tuesday for him. He looks good thank goodness for blogs
